Restorative Lands Northwest is an environmental and ecological consulting LLC, based in Richland, Washington, with specific expertise in grassland, and forest ecosystems across the Columbia Basin and Great Basin. We preform assessments, sustainable land-use planning, restoration planning and management, scientific research, monitoring, as well as grant support, technical writing, statistical analysis, and GIS support.
We also provide services to land owners and land managers in habitat conservation, and provide support in regulatory compliance as a non-regulatory entity,

Our Mission
Alexis Spencer - Lead Ecologist and CEO
Alexis Spencer is a restoration ecologist and botanist with over 8 years of experience in the field, lab, and desk. Alexis has worked across the Great Basin, and the Pacific Northwest, conducting botanical surveys, habitat and environmental assessments, compliance monitoring, and conducting scientific research. Alexis has experience and education in soils and soil ecology, statistical analysis, GIS and Botany. She has also worked in many roles in agriculture including farmer, researcher, and collaborator. She has a passion for soil, farming and native plant species, and is excited to use her expertise and passion to help others with their working lands and natural ecosystems. She has been in eastern Washington since 2020, and is eager to bring her expertise to clients in the Columbia Basin.
In addition to providing consulting services, Alexis also serves on the board of the Columbia Basin Native Plant Society, works as part-time faculty teaching biology and environmental science at Columbia Basin College, and frequently leads volunteer restoration and education events with local organizations.
